Vedan is a diverse place; our races are vastly different in culture as well as phisiology. In fact, in the case of Elves, the races only divide themselves by culture. The six major races on Vedan are each unique in their view of the world. Each of them holds true to their own cosmology. Wars have been fought and thousands of lives have been lost, but the races of Vedan are strong and unfailing. Although they push against each other, each and every one of them holds to their ideals and their customs.

Dwarves, the ancient, stoic people, among the oldest on the island. They are hardy, stout, and the only people that can stand the harsh region of the Icy Han.

High Elves are a haughty, intelligent race. They of all races are the most reverant of Arcanistry, and their ancient religion revolves around the worship of draconic demigods.

Woodland Elves, on the other hand, are a down to earth population of druids and shamans. Their naturalistic ways and secretive tendancies make them one of the more mysterious peoples, as well.

Gnomes are the second-youngest of the races, and are the only race whose principal religion regards healing as "good." They have a certain mystique about them, likely because of their religion and their tendancy to live among other races, rather than their own.

Halflings relate very closely to Gnomes in phisiology, almost enough that they are the same race. However, their culture could not be more different. Halflings are the polar opposite of the technological Gnomes, and the only race as devoted to nature as the Woodland Elves.

Humans are both the youngest and most widespread race. They are adventurers and crusaders defined, their religion sets the standard for Vedanic ideas of "good" and "evil."
